Flash Prototype - Landing Page
Holiday Inn books over $2B annually through its website and PCR Loyalty program site. To coincide with a 2008-2010 global rebranding initiative that would see dramatic renovations and rebranding in hotels across the nation, IHG wanted to redefine the online booking & loyalty experiences for prospects and customers.
We did a LOT of design. Click here to view a Flash prototype.

Flash Prototype - Landing Page
These examples highlight some of my design work for a Flash prototype that would bring some of our brand experience aspirations to life.
-
Landing Variation
In the prototype, we highlighted how an open, airy design would make it simple to use big splashy backgrounds that could really pay off the new brand goals.
-
Offers Etc
The original IHG template was very static - we wanted to illustrate new ways to clean up the interface and make for a more focused set of actions and experiences.

HI Express Landing View
Holiday Inn's rebranding efforts extended to HIEX. My design work in the following screens helped to illustrate how the principles we established for HI.com were extensible to other brands in the family.

HIEX Landing Var

Experience Design Deck
The following screens are excerpts from an Experience Design deck I created (in collaboration with the team) to draw our clients into inital design discussions. The document contains detailed scenarios that expressed our strategy as narrative scenarios, as well as iinitial themes in layout and look and feel.My concept was to take the team through exercises that would help the client 'move the needle' in the early stages.

Design Flavors
For this section I was fortunate to have the help of several contributors. The idea was to expose our client to a range of design "flavors," so that they might be exposed to a greater range of design exploration early in the process. It worked well; we narrowed the selections down to three "likes" in the first round, which really helped add focus to the first round of design comps.

Type Treatment Example
This was one of two example templates I created for the extended team of designers who pitched in.
-
Magazine Theme
The second example template - each treatment was labeled with a theme nam and a description that brought the modular treatments to life conceptually. Ultimately we presented a total of six themes.

Windows
On of my favorite treatments, and a client favorite as well (designed by Jen Putnam).
